NBA fans discuss, conclude Embiid now sufficiently injured

Following a short huddle, NBA fans have collectively agreed that Philadelphia 76ers centre Joel Embiid is now sufficiently injured to sit out games without being ridiculed. “We’re pleased to announce this change in stance,” said the fans in a press release last night. “The previous position had been that this 7’2” 280lb professional athlete with a well-documented history of leg issues was likely to be avoiding matchups with good teams for statistical purposes. The situation has now evolved and we are adjusting accordingly.”

Following the change in position, fans are being asked to refrain from tweeting out clown emojis as previously advised, and to instead consider well wishes to the superstar, with suggestions such as “prayers up big fella” or “Jojo can’t catch a break smh”
