Bombshell reports in recent days have suggested that Kawhi Leonard, a longstanding member of the Aspiration family, may have been benefiting from a secret contract from an organisation calling itself the “Los Angeles Clippers” for a number of years. Sources familiar with the situation claim that the contract placed no obligation on Leonard to appear in games, be a vocal leader, or contribute in any way to consistent winning basketball over the course of his contract, raising questions about the true purpose of the deal.
“It’s a suspicious situation for sure,” mused a rival tree-planting executive. “I mean, who are these Los Angeles Clippers? I’ve watched every NBA finals for the past 40 years and I don’t recall ever seeing a Los Angeles Clippers team. What even is a Clipper anyway?”
